On October 24th, 2024, we had the pleasure of hosting a joint seminar workshop with SAP and the Chair of Management Accounting at TU Munich at the new SAP Labs Munich Campus. This event brought together experts from SAP, along with students and researchers, to explore the challenges in strategic financial transformations. The discussions focused on how businesses are adapting their financial strategies to meet the demands of digitalization, regulatory shifts, market changes, and disrupting technologies such as AI.

Key topics included the importance of data-driven decision-making and aligning financial strategies with long-term sustainability goals. Participants shared valuable insights, blending industry experience with academic research, and several joint research initiatives were launched to tackle specific challenges. This seminar once again underlined the importance of integrating practical industry experience with academic research.
