SAP is teaming up again with the Technical University of Munich (TUM) for the iPraktikum 2023. The initiative brings together students and professionals from SAP's Mobile Experience and Engineering (MXE) department in Munich. The primary objective of this joint effort is to develop an innovative application for delivery drivers. The students will tackle a challenging problem statement: creating an application that calculates the optimal delivery route considering various factors such as traffic, weather conditions, ad hoc delivery requests, and walkable distances between stops. The application aligns with SAP's ongoing project, SAP Direct Distribution, an iOS and Android application currently under development by the Munich Mobile Engineering Team. As a pivotal point in the course, a design review is scheduled for June 14th, where the students will showcase the progress they have made thus far. The culmination of this collaboration will be marked by the client acceptance test on July 19th, during which the final version of the application will be presented. Both events will be held at FMI Hörsaal 1, providing an opportunity for students to demonstrate their skills and accomplishments to a wider audience.
