During the summer semester 2024, various industry partners joined the SAP Innovative Services Practical Course at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) to guide students through development projects around the latest SAP topics. Our SAP team around Jacqueline Kölsch, Lukas Käser, Alexandra Kropielnicka, Christina Becker, Alice Günes and Sebastian Hamilton tasked students with developing an application that visualizes AS-IS architectures on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), a critical task in project workflows.
In addition to this, SAP partners are engaging students with GenAI use cases. Dr. Maximilian Reiter from msg led a challenge focused on translating reinsurance emails across different languages while ensuring compliance, using SAP GenAI Hub. Experts from IBsolution, including Marwin Shraideh and Sebastian Esch, assisted students in exploring CDS views and SAP BW ABAP extractors, utilizing GenAI and SAP HANA Vector Engine.
In addition, the students had the opportunity to learn about Design Thinking from Alice Günes and Sebastian Hamilton, to understand the challenges and ideate their first prototypes.
