On the 15th of October, Dr. Konstantin Böttinger from the TUM Chair of IT Security and Fraunhofer AISEC gave a presentation on the intersection of AI and cybersecurity at the SAP Labs Campus Munich. The talk provided valuable insights into how these two rapidly evolving fields are influencing one another, with a focus on both AI-driven cybersecurity solutions and the challenge of ensuring AI systems are secure themselves.
The presentation explored two critical perspectives: how AI can be leveraged to enhance cybersecurity by detecting and responding to threats more efficiently, and, conversely, the steps needed to protect AI systems from being compromised. This dual approach highlights the growing importance of collaboration between AI and cybersecurity experts to address the complex challenges of our digital world.
